A day in the life...

"There he is! Get him!"
They chased me for as long as they could, but I always get away. I can never understand why they chase me, I am but a simple man. I work on a poppy field for 15 hours a day and on my way home, I just want to stop and get a bowl of rice. I love Chinese rice. So here I am once again, eating my lovely rice, wanting to enjoy it in peace. But I know what to expect. I never run the same route. I don't want them to figure me out and wait ahead for me with a trap set. That would probably hurt. I could just turn and fight them, no chance of losing, but I am a peaceful man. I just want to live my own life. Go to work, eat rice, go home, and eat rice. What is it that makes them angry with me? I am a man of little importance that does not interfere with the lives of others. So, I wonder, why do they insist on doing so to me? I may find the answer in a later chapter of my life, but for now I am just going to sit down and enjoy my rice.
